Catering Back Story
Bigg Bites Catering Services was Inspired and founded by an amazing chef name Quanie Blackwell, and co-owner Darnell Williamson. Quanie gained her love for cooking at a young age while working alongside her father who also had a catering business that was very successful throughout the Metro Detroit area. While attending Eastern Michigan University, she would periodically sell food on campus which created a name for herself, “chef Q”. She would work very long hours in a day to deliver food along with her partner but would receive very little profit. While simultaneously selling food, Quanie and Darnell also worked for the University of Michigan Catering for all of two years. Along with the experience from UofM, her father’s catering company, and her selling food on campus, she and Darnell decided to open a catering business and further her father’s legacy.
